The Venezuelan Association of Jurists carried out this course on citizen security, whose objective as an organized society is to share in different conceptions and thoughts a critical analysis in a historical perspective but also in national geopolitical perspectives, in order to generate real solutions to our daily problems of citizen security.

Pablo Fernández Blanco, activist educator in Human Rights, specialists in citizen security, was the teacher facilitator of the course "Construction of public policies and citizen security. Context, problems, achievements and challenges”, with the accompaniment of the Antonio José de Sucre Political Training School.

The specialist Fernández Blanco argued that "today we are developing a training activity aimed at a fairly broad public in terms of building public security policies from a vision of the progressive left."

He maintained that in the immediate future, in matters of citizen security, he is "improving security policies in Venezuela and how to definitively break old paradigms that security has from the repressive dimension and not from the preventive dimension, that is the contribution that we hope to be able to give today in this course with fairly broad participation, which up to now seems extremely satisfactory to us."

He also added that "today we are here teaching the course not in an institutional role, but rather as a specialist in the field of citizen security, all this to facilitate a workshop where we are going to share some concepts, ideas, methods, reflections, and criticisms on the construction of citizen security policies in times of revolution, that is, how to build policies with a left-wing perspective with a transformative perspective that breaks the old paradigms of public security or national security."
