Apple has finally seen fit to release the release candidate build of iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6, watchOS 9.6, tvOS 16.6, and macOS 13.4 to developers. The latest update arrives a week after Apple released the final beta to developers. Apple's release candidate builds are usually the final updates before the update is released to the general public. If you are a registered developer, you can download the latest update for free on your compatible device.

iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 release candidates can be downloaded on your compatible iPhone and iPad by heading over to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Simply download the relevant update and follow the on-screen instruction to install it. To download the latest build, make sure that your Apple ID is linked to your developer account.

Other than iOS 16.6, Apple has also seeded the release candidate or RC build of watchOS 9.6. watchOS 9.6 can be downloaded on your Apple Watch through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Simply head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates and download the release candidate build. Make sure your Apple Watch follows all the prerequisites of installing a watchOS update.

Alongside watchOS 9.6 and iOS 16.6, macOS 13.4 can be downloaded on your Mac through a profile that you can install using the Apple Developer Center. Once the profile is installed, head over to the Software Update section in System Settings to begin the download process.

Lastly, Apple has also released the release candidate build of the tvOS 16.6 update to developers. The latest update can be downloaded using a profile that you can download through Xcode on Mac. As for what is new, the latest updates focus on bug fixes and performance enhancements. Additionally, if Apple does not release the second iteration of the release candidate build, iOS 16.6, watchOS 9.6, and other updates will be released to the general public next week.
