At the end of March, Valve announced the arrival of Counter-Strike 2 for this summer with exciting new features. Unfortunately for its community, its arrival has been delayed and did not arrive until we launched the fall, but Counter-Strike 2 is finally available in Steam and therefore can be accessed by users of said platform on Windows, SteamOS and Linux. Counter-Strike 2 is a free title that replaces the, until now, current Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with inventory migration included, CS:GO became a free game a few years ago. The fact of replacing the previous version has caused the arrival of CS 2 to be delayed and since March a certain number of users have been able to use the new version and after six months of adjustments, corrections and modifications requested by the community it seems that Valve has decided make the final jump and publish it for everyone, this happened around 11pm this Wednesday and here we have the launch trailer:

This update of the game has many new features, including a renewed graphics engine based on Source 2 as well as new mechanics that we have had for several months but in which the smoke grenades and their effects resulting from visibility should be highlighted. Most of the criticism that CS:GO received lately was that it was full of bugs, which we hope Valve has been able to solve by renovating the game from top to bottom in most of its aspects and therefore the opportunity to improve its systems. to avoid cheaters. As a curious note, we have found that AMD has quietly updated the list of changes to its latest drivers, AMD Software 23.9.3 WHQL, to add that these drivers offer official support for Counter-Strike 2, after so many months of betas. We know to what extent it was necessary or not, but we were surprised that it was done without announcing it, so we have the doubt about whether the corresponding Intel and NVIDIA drivers for this game are pending or they already did their homework a long time ago, this is what We will easily see if they publish new drivers before the end of the week. For now it's time to test how this great facelift that Counter-Strike 2 is, if this long wait is justified and if we like it, enjoy it.
