PP JuKuzai
Sunday, October 8, a great game was played in the Premier League between Arsenal and Manchester City, two of the teams fighting for the competition at the top of the classification table. The duel took place at the Emirates Stadium and was full of controversy. A high intensity match was expected from the start and the match did not disappoint. However, refereeing controversies marked the first half of the match, specifically due to a couple of actions with Kovacic as the protagonist. Mateo Kovacic, Manchester City footballer, starred in an incredible sequence of fouls in the first half of the duel against Arsenal that could have cost him expulsion. In the 28th minute, the Croatian made a strong tackle on Martin Odegaard, going with his raised foot straight to the Arsenal star's right ankle. The play was reviewed by the VAR due to a possible direct red card action, but finally the referee decided to give him a yellow card. After the referee's controversial decision, and if that were not enough, just five minutes later he again made a tough tackle, this time on Declan Rice. The new foul further tense the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium, not because of the infraction itself, but because of the sequence that could have concluded their match. And on this occasion, they did not get the second yellow card, which could have been a direct red card again. Sports ️
