The Águilas de Mexicali announced the arrival of a former "big leaguer" who belongs to the Turks

On August 1, 2017, the Navegantes del Magallanes made a change that excited the Magellan fans, by acquiring the -at that time- big leaguer Yangervis Solarte, from the Águilas del Zulia, a team with which he never made his debut.

Six years later, the only record of Yangervis Solarte with the uniform of the Navegantes del Magallanes dates back to 2015, when he still belonged to the Tigres de Aragua but helped the Turks in the final against Caribes de Anzoátegui. 

In addition, it does not seem that things are going to change, because to the surprise of many, the Venezuelan infielder has returned in this 2023/24 season to winter baseball, but with the Águilas de Mexicali, in the Mexican Pacific League.

The Venezuelan was announced this Saturday, October 28 and debuted that same day, thus living his first performance in Aztec baseball, where he only had experience playing in the Summer League.

In order for Solarte to make his debut in Mexico, Magallanes undoubtedly had to approve the move, since this is how these negotiations are handled in the Caribbean Confederation, but no further details are known about the situation.
