UserJoy Japan announced that they are currently working on an mobile RPG game based on the anime The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War. The game is currently scheduled for a 2023 release in Japan with no update about a global release date. UserJoy is a known developer of the mobile game The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki which was released in 2016. Since its release, the game has been ported to various other devices.

The game will follow a similar setting to the upcoming anime series The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War. In the anime, a war between Erebonia and North Ambria takes place . The story follows the adventures of a girl named Lavian Winslet. The game’s timeline will follow the events that took place in a time skip between the games Trails of Cold Steel II and III.
