Square Enix today announced the release of a demo of Forspoken on PC, coinciding with the global launch of the game on the platform alongside the PS5 version.

Forspoken PC

The new demo will be available for free download through the Steam Store, Epic Games, and the Microsoft Store. The description of the demo is as follows:

“In the PC demo, players will encounter a variety of enemies and test their combat abilities with a wide arsenal of attacking abilities backed by magical abilities that will prepare them for high-octane action in preparation for the full game encounter..”

The game got a rating of 66/100 from Metacritics, while it got a rating of 68/100 from OpenCretics with 48 reviews.

Forspoken has been criticized for its poor performance and very low graphics quality in exchange for its high operating requirements on PC.

The game has become the talk of many bloggers, critics, and even gamers everywhere after it was revealed that the requirements to run it on the PC, which are superior to many versions of the year or even the entire generation.

Also, some analysts were able to analyze the display accuracy and performance of the demo, which recently received a surprising update on the PlayStation 5, which shows the extent of the unjustified exploitation of the capabilities of the new Sony device.

What increased the doubts about the badness of the game is that review copies of the game were not sent to the media, except to some selected sites. However, the game did not receive praise from many of these critics, some of whom described the game as a game of a past generation.

Recently, after launch, one of the reports said that the Forspoken game had deviated from its path during the development process, which made it lose its identity. According to leaker Alex Donaldson, the game has become significantly different from the way it started.

While it's rare for a game to lose its identity during the development process, Donaldson attributed this to Forspoken's director Hajime Tabata's withdrawal from developer Luminous in 2018.

Donaldson said that, through private information he collected from several sources, the game had undergone changes during the development process. More details you can find here..
