SnO
We continue to present hardware reviews to you, our followers, and this time a new review from Razer, but it is not a gaming accessory, but a complete gaming device. Let's all welcome the Razer Blade 17, the laptop or portable beast that comes with an RTX 3070, i7-10875H processor and 360Hz display. Razer Blade 17 technical specifications 10th Gen Intel Core™ i7-10875H 8 core (2.3GHz) 17.3-inch screen with Full HD resolution and 360Hz NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB of VRAM GDDR6) Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 512GB PCIe NVME storage (upgradable to 2TB) with an additional M.2 port. 16 GB of RAM at 2933MHz dual channel DDR4 (upgradable to 64 GB). Windows 10 and Razer Chroma lighting system. Its weight is 2.75 kilograms From the first moments you hold the Razer Blade 17, you'll feel the luxury as the laptop screams just that, from its simple packaging, stickers and message from the company's manager to the simple yet elegant box. The texture is very excellent, both inside and out, but unfortunately you will see your fingers on the outside after a few days of use, and if it bothers you, prepare to clean it from time to time. Razer Blade 17 As you have seen, the specifications are more than excellent in the device and it is sufficient to run all games, especially on the wonderful screen with its smoothness, which we will discuss more shortly. The first game I played was Cyberpunk 2077 where, despite its problems, the game offers unmatched graphics and world. The game was played on the highest settings with ray tracing, and here the performance was very normal, as the average frames were about thirty frames. It should be noted that Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that requires a lot of power and its settings are not good. Thanks to the NVIDIA card and DLSS technology, the performance reached approximately 55 frames per second depending on the region on the balanced mode and I can say that it is an experience like no other. I've never seen a more beautiful Night City than now, and all this on a 1080p screen, but when you play it on maximum settings, you will definitely get lost in Night City. When you play a huge game that requires a lot of power, the device will push all its energy to run it and here you need the charger, playing without the charger is never welcome and you will not get a good experience on a huge game. Without the charger, you wouldn't be able to get around Night City even at these settings. The battery power is not enough, but all laptops need that, as the graphics card and processor also need electrical energy to operate at their full strength. I have tested different types of games such as DOOM Eternal, Valorant, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Fortnite; All games work very well, and thanks to the 360 Hz screen, you will get an unparalleled experience, especially in competitive games, where the smoothness takes you to another world. I have previously played on 60, 75 and 144 Hz monitors, but this was my first experience with a 360 Hz monitor and for games, especially competitive games, you will have great smoothness and your performance will also improve. A friend of mine who plays on a mid-range device experienced this feeling on Valorant and said, “It seems we are not playing the same game.” Control on the highest settings got around 80fps without ray tracing but with ray tracing the performance was around 60fps and very playable. Grand Theft Auto V ran at more than 100 frames per second on the highest settings, and the device achieved 60 frames per second on Red Dead Redemption 2 with medium settings. In case you play virtual reality games, I really enjoyed my experience playing on the Oculus Quest 2 as I played Half-Life: Alyx on the highest settings without any noticeable performance issues in addition to many other games. Screenshot from Half-Life: Alyx using the Razer Blade 17. The cooling in the Razer Blade 17, in my opinion, is very good, as there are many fans that operate at a speed of more than 4000, and you can adjust them manually or automatically according to the temperature. When you play a game that requires a lot of time, the fans will become very loud to the game volume sometimes and you will need headphones in order to get a better experience. This is good and bad at the same time, you don't want to have heat issues which is why most of the time I put the fans on high speed and even so, the laptop gets hot but not annoyingly so. Like all other accessories of the company, the Razer Synapse program supports the program, and through it you can customize the RGB lighting on the keyboard, modify them, and most importantly, adjust the speed of the fans and change between the integrated card and the RTX 3070 card in order to preserve the battery. As we said above, playing on the RTX 3070 requires a lot of power, and the battery will not last more than two and a half hours based on our experience on it, but it reaches twice that and more on the integrated card. That is, to note, do not expect to get full power on the battery and do not expect the battery to last with you for hours if you are playing on the original card and not the built-in one. The Razer Blade 17 computer is really portable, but it needs electricity, so you will carry approximately 3 kilograms on your back while traveling or using it, but if you are looking for a powerful laptop that is enough to play and even design and edit videos, then it is an excellent option. https://www.vga4a.com/archives/106420
