The president of the National Assembly, Virgilio Saquicela, invited the Minister of Government, Francisco Jiménez, to visit Parliament where he was until September 2022. Saquicela thus responded to the statement made by Minister Jiménez, on a radio station and television made on Sunday, November 20, where he stated that while the Government intensifies the fight against drug criminal gangs, in defense of citizens, the National Assembly has repressed more than 30 bills related to the security of Ecuadorians . That there are bills that have been in process for more than four years and more than 20 bills have not even begun to be dealt with by the commissions, since the Assembly does not process them.
