On social networks, a campaign began to support a dog that had been adopted by the Presidency workers.

Agents of the Animal Welfare Unit (UBA) arrived at the building located in the historic center of Quito. The dog was placed in a cage.

From the municipal entity they reported that Santi, the pet, would have had an alleged aggressive behavior, so they could not take care of him on the spot.

anti has a geriatric age, that is, he is considered an older adult. The dog was transferred to a Veterinary Care Center, Refuge and Temporary Reception (Cavrat) to carry out a clinical and ethological evaluation.

Veterinarians will confirm the state of health and behavior of the animal.

Several neighbors who became attached to Santi reported that they did not identify any aggressive behavior. In fact, they pointed out that he was very calm and docile with the people who passed through the place.

A Twitter account was even created on social networks with his photos. In the publications it was denounced that the animal will be evicted from the building.

Information was requested from the Presidency, however, they have not issued a statement in this regard. Preliminarily it was reported that the dog would have already found an adoptive home.

From the UBA they indicated that their transfer to a home has not yet been confirmed. They called for citizen co-responsibility, so that he can enjoy his last years of life in a home that provides him with the necessary care.
