Assassin's Creed Valhalla will launch on December 6th

Ubisoft - Steam

Ubisoft hasn't released its games on Steam for years, which is the best interface yet for PC games. Despite the company's previous plans to refrain from doing so, Ubisoft is preparing for the arrival of some of its games to the store.

It seems our wish is for all of Ubisoft's major games to return to Steam as it becomes more accessible with the reveal that Ubisoft-published titles such as Anno 1800, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Roller Champions are coming to Steam, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla launching on Steam on December 6th.

Anno 1800 was previously available for purchase on Steam in 2019 but was not listed on the store shortly after in order to make the game exclusive to the Epic Games store.

In a new statement from The Verge, publisher Ubisoft spokeswoman Jessica Roache gives us some promising words for these releases, describing the company's move as a way to "bring our games to different audiences wherever they are, while providing a cohesive ecosystem for the player through the Ubisoft Connect platform."

There has been no official confirmation yet of the possibility of bringing more Ubisoft titles to Steam in the future. There has also been no official statement on how Ubisoft plans to support the Steam Deck platform with these games despite previous statements from Ubisoft executives indicating that such support could come soon.
