[Software] Star Wars Jedi Survivor will not occupy the same on PC and PS5

In barely a week we will have this Star Wars Jedi Survivor among us that promises to be even better than the first and that a good part of its interest lies in knowing what the paths through which the story will move will be, which seems destined for greater feats. after seeing how much it has impacted fans of the universe created by George Lucas.

A galaxy full of gigabytes
The work of Respawn Entertainment seems to be superb again after a Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order that returned the franchise to the good old days of LucasArts, when series like Jedi Knight, and originally Dark Forces, made up one of the playable universes most acclaimed by fans –especially– on PC.

The result of that good decision by Electronic Arts (surprising) putting Titanfall's parents in command of this new saga, has now caused this Star Wars Jedi Survivor to have caused a small earthquake among fans, who await it with special interest. So if you are going to play it on PC, you must know what space it will require in your storage unit.

And specifically, Star Wars Jedi Survivor is going to want to occupy you around 130 gigabytes, an amount that is not low, which lags behind gigantic productions such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Which has been requesting around 170 gigabytes, and which are on the right track. to imitate Flight Simulator in the future, the Microsoft title to which, when we start to put all the extras in it, begins to touch 200.

On consoles ask for a little more
It is curious, but the amount of space that Star Wars Jedi Survivor will occupy on PS5 has also been published and it turns out that the number of gigabytes goes up a little, something that we understand will also happen with the Xbox Series X | S editions. In the case of the Sony machine, it will request around 147 gigabytes of space in the internal storage, so if you do not have that amount free, you already know what it is: either delete games that you have already finished, or remove those of you who haven't had time to play yet or, ultimately, install a new SSD as an expansion to keep piling up.

It is clear that the new generation not only represents a leap in terms of graphics technologies and performance potential, but all this also translates into more disk space to put all those resources into operation. If in the previous generation of PS4 and Xbox One the games moved around 40 gigabytes in the worst case, and almost 80 in the most demanding ones –with major exceptions–, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S that quantity will practically double.

And the PC, as a good reflection of what is happening in the console market, also inherits that most negative part of the increase in quality and power of new developments.
