Black CaT
Even though everything revolves around the new AMD graphics cards in the GPU sector, the Nvidia flagship GeForce RTX 4090 is still the talk of the town. However, the graphics card is a real hothead. The Alpha Core water cooling system remedies this, and not only for the Founders Edition, but also the reference design from various manufacturers. Manufacturer Alphacool, based in Braunschweig, Germany, is known for its WaKü solutions and has kept heated graphics cards in check several times in the past. Most recently, we were able to test the CPU cooling Core Ocean T38 ourselves. For the new high-end graphics card Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, the manufacturer now also has the right water cooling at the start. The Alphacool Core for GeForce RTX 4090 is available for either the Founders Edition or the reference design of Nvidia’s top model. Both variants only differ in terms of design, but otherwise have the same features. Among them is an optimized fin structure, which is supposed to provide an excellent water flow and increase the cooling surface. “The brass G1/4″ threads, left in chrome and integrated on both sides, stand out visually from the terminal and are one of the key points of the new design language that will be evident in all Core series products,” says the manufacturer. The fin thickness and spacing have been changed, the cooling surface increased and the water flow optimized to the core components with the greatest heat dissipation. The enclosed special soft heat conduction pads with up to 7 W/mK adapt perfectly to even the smallest tolerances. At the same time, the manufacturer already offers broad compatibility with RTX 4090 cards and plans to offer the new Alphacool Core water coolers for other high-end graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia in the future. https://basic-tutorials.com/news/alphacool-core-water-cooling-for-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-presented/
