AlgeriaNow - The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Algeria, Valerian Shuvaev, confirmed the existence of an understanding on the Russian and Algerian sides to conduct President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's visit to Russia before the end of this year.

Shufaev said, in a statement to “Sputnik” agency in this regard, that “there is an agreement and a preliminary understanding on both sides that the visit of His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Russia will take place before the end of this year.”

The Russian ambassador stressed that “this event is very important for the relations between our two countries,” expressing his hope that “this visit will give additional impetus to the development of our cooperation.”

And the Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra, had stated earlier this month that preparations for the visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Russia were being actively prepared.

And the Algerian foreign minister said on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum: “We hope that (the visit) will take place before the end of the year, and now preparations are being made for this visit, which is important for both our countries and we are actively and positively participating in preparing for it.
