Assassin's Creed Mirage apparently got a new release date, according to data reported by insider Tom Henderson. Ubisoft is now planning to release the next installment no later than August 2023. Are there internal issues that we're not aware of?

Initially, they generally wanted to send the game to stores so that it would be ready for sale before the end of 2022, but the team simply didn't have time. After entering the publishing house, the plan was to release the game in its proper time of May 2023. Fortunately, this scenario will not happen. Ubisoft is now hoping to release Assassin's Creed Mirage in August 2023.

The source indicated that the game was postponed internally twice, which made it away from the previous part, Valhalla, for more than two years. But after postponing the game internally to August of next year, this makes it 3 years away from the current part.

The leaker, “Henderson,” stated that one of the reasons for the delay may be the company’s desire to release the game not only on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, but also on last-generation PS4 and Xbox One platforms, where it could create additional problems for developers.

As for the Assassin's Creed Red project, it is facing some problems internally, according to some informed sources, while the future project, Project Hexe, has received strong praise in pre-production, as sources indicate that full production will begin soon. The sources stated the release date of both projects.. We will see Project Red in 2024 if it is not postponed due to problems and we will see Project HEXE in 2026, the project that will move the Assassin's Creed series in a different direction.

In any case, it is good that we will see the return of the series to the roots, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be closer to the structure of the parts of the original series, as it will focus on close combat, sequencing, and parkour movements in a dense and crowded city, so the size of the game will be close to the sizes of the first parts of the series before heading to style Role-playing game that offered massive content with an open world.

We don't know when we'll see the second reveal yet, but the first and last word is still for Ubisoft, don't take the leak seriously anyway.
