Boeing has identified a new defect in its long-haul 787 Dreamliner.

And the company announced, on Tuesday, that “Boeing” is currently checking a number of aircraft that have not yet been delivered to customers and may require rework before delivery.

"We are examining the 787s in our inventory, and aircraft that are found to have a non-conforming condition will be reworked prior to delivery," Boeing said in a statement.

The airline giant said the problems were not "an immediate aviation safety issue, and the fleet in service may continue to operate." It indicated that the problem would not likely change the delivery target for the full year.

Boeing shares fell about 2 percent in the meantime.

And the "Dreamliner" plane caused; It is one of the most important models of "Boeing" aircraft, which has repeatedly encountered problems in recent years. Due to various production defects, the aircraft was not allowed to be delivered to customers from May 2021 to August 2022.

And in February 2023, Boeing had to halt deliveries, again, for a few weeks. At the time of the recent re-certification, the US Federal Aviation Administration announced that, in the future, it would individually inspect every 787 produced.
